my obsession

I have come to realize that one of my favorite things in life is finding quotes that are inspiring, those that make me think, and just knowing somebody out there has the same thoughts and feelings as I do in that particular moment in my life. here are some quotes that inspire me, give me hope, or just explain life in a creative way:

"Beautiful things come out of horrible situations. I know for a fact. Out of anger, you can feel your heart beat race with every beat it is shaking, your whole being, and not only the heavy steps you take."
I have recently learned that this is true. I was very angry for some time because of moving and being forced to go to a different school, it is still to this day, the hardest thing i think i will ever go through. Leaving all of my best friends that meant so much to me, not being able to play volleyball nearly as much as i did, and leaving the school that i had been at for 6 years. Fortunately I enjoyed my first week at my new boarding school, and was taught a lot of things i never knew i was missing. Going to Shawnigan opened so many doors for me, my grades became excellent because i felt the need to do my best, my friends inspired me to be better, and I taught myself how to be independent. that to me, is a beautiful thing.

"Life comes without guarantees. Except that smiling will brighten your face, laughing will enhance your eyes, and falling in love will change your life."
It's true, life really does have no guarantees, no promises, and no certainties. There are (thankfully) some exceptions, some things that are set in stone. Smiling will obviously brighten your face, a real smile is complete joy. Laughing will enhance your eyes, of course, since laughing is just a smile that explodes. And falling in love, especially when it happens for the first time, is curiosity and an adventure, a feeling indescribable and totally miraculous. It changes your life by realizing that you can give your heart to somebody else, trusting that they will take better care of it than you would, you are capable of caring that much for another, and your outlook on life is nothing but positive, you see the world in a different way.

"When you're young, you just believe there will be many people with whom you'll connect with, later in life, you realize it only happens a few times."
What a bittersweet statement. Bitter, because you don't connect with as many as you'd like, you can't share a special bond with the people that you want, and you don't feel completely loved at all times. But also sweet, because once you find those people you feel no need to seek for more, you wonder what those special people possess to be capable of catching your heart, and a few is better than none.
