i'm a dreamer

so it's been a while since my last post.......and wow have things changed. I was looking back at my posts from the summer of 2o10 and realized I was writing amateur little poems during my "honeymoon" stage with my newfound boyfriend, who i thought i loved. whom i did love. whom i do love. sort of. anyways.......last year in writing 12 i really got to explore my interest for poems and words and i would like to share "i'm a dreamer"

i'm a dreamer,

in more ways than one,

an unwritten song

i'm a dreamer,

but i'm not the only one,

the incessant dreamers and weavers,

we carry the childhood memories of

finders keepers

losers weepers

i'm a dreamer,

you're a dreamer,

we all want to be lead into tunnels with gates of white

embersmoke, incandescent light.

i'm a dreamer,

but i just can't keep going on,

when the sparks that used to shine

are long gone.

an extended honeymoon, a heated kiss, a melting heart,

of first love bliss.

but i told you i was a dreamer,

where sins don't exist,

where happiness lives,

and i'm pretty sure you can taste love,

you can taste it in homebaked cookies,

and on your lovers lips.
